Accessibility Statement

Into the Burren is a family-run accommodation and tour business, and we want everyone to be able to use this website, whatever tools or technology they browse with. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA wherever we can, and we work on issues as we find them.

What we have done

  • The site works without horizontal scrolling on phones, and menus, booking calendars and forms have been tested on small screens.
  • Images and partner links carry text alternatives, including the booking-platform badges in our footer.
  • We measure colour contrast on interactive feedback — for example, the newsletter form’s field-level error message measures 8.5:1 against its background, above the 4.5:1 AA minimum.
  • Our cookie and privacy documents are generated and kept current with a consent-management tool, and we review which third-party services actually load for visitors.

Known limitations

  • Forms: the newsletter form’s required fields do show “This field is required” when missed, but these errors are not yet announced to screen-reader users. We are working on this with our developers.
  • Third-party booking and media services: tour booking (Rezgo), accommodation booking (Lodgify), video (Vimeo), maps (Google Maps) and guest reviews (Revyoos) are embedded from their providers, and we cannot fully control how accessible those interfaces are. If you hit a problem inside one of them, contact us — we will help you complete your booking another way and pass the issue to the provider.

Feedback and contact

If any part of this site is hard for you to use, tell us and we will do our best to fix it or provide the information in another form. Email intotheburren@gmail.com or use the details on our contact page — we aim to respond within 24 hours.
